Edward (Ed) G. Doman, President and Chief Operating Officer of Empire Electronics Inc., joined the company in 1995 as its chief purchasing manager. Since then, he has been influential in the main decisions that have transformed the strategic direction and profitability of the company. In 1997, Ed was promoted to General Manager of operations and moved to San Pedro Sula, Honduras to oversee all day-to-day operations of the new manufacturing headquarters of Empire Electronics. Within 18 months, Empire´s manufacturing facility was fully approved by QS 9000 standards. Ed returned to the United States in 1999, where he was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer.

Before joining Empire Electronics, Doman worked as a health care consultant for Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Detroit, Michigan. He began at Blue Cross after completing his graduate studies in finance and international business. With his strong work ethic and public speaking capabilities, he furthered his career in business management.

Before Blue Cross, Doman worked as a consultant for a management firm in Hartford, Conn. Prior to that, he worked in Boston, Mass., where he began his career.

Doman holds a bachelor of science in economics from Michigan State University and earned a master of business administration degree in finance and international business from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association and the Society of Automotive Engineers. He and his wife, Kendall, reside in Huntington Woods with their two sons.
