Empire's Tooling & Die Shop has developed all of the dies for the plant's injection molding operations. In addition, all tooling repairs for the plant's wire processing and crimping stations are completed in house in Honduras. The Tool & Die Shop's staff developed the innovative SMED process, which allows for single-minute exchange of dies (currently over 300 different terminals) during harness production.
